Robin van Persie was once again the catalyst for an Arsenal win, scoring one and making another two as the Gunners eased to victory over West Brom. The Dutchman took his recent tally to eight goals in four games midway through the first half, prodding home from close range after good work by Theo Walcott. He then turned provider before the break, crossing to defender Thomas Vermaelen who lashed home a low drive to celebrate his first Premier League start in two months in the best possible way. The second half was a much more relaxed affair with neither goalkeeper truly tested until Mikel Arteta applied the finishing touch to a glorious flowing move on 74 minutes. More to follow.
