Shola Sits Out November!
Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi will be out for six weeks due to a hamstring injury. Alan Pardew: "It’s a blow to us. Shola pulled his hamstring just three minutes after coming on but he played on to show what a great character he is. "It’s a loss to us and the fans will realise just how important he is to us now." Ameobi’s career has been plagued by injury problems. In the 2006/07 season, the 30-year-old striker needed a hip operation in the United States of America after the problem persisted for two seasons. In February he suffered a check bone injury that needed him to wear a face mask.
