Spireites go down fightingChesterfield slumped to a fifth straight league defeat when Hartlepool ended a three-game losing streak with a 3-2 win at the B2net Stadium.Leon Clarke gave Chesterfield an early lead with his 50th league goal, but Paul Murray and a James Poole double put Hartlepool in control before Dean Holden pulled on back.Chesterfield started positively when Alex Mendy stepped over a low cross and Clarke bent a left-footed shot into the corner in the 10th minute.But a poor punch by Greg Fleming, who came on when Tommy Lee was injured in the warm-up, allowed Murray to loop a header into the net in the 17th minute and two minutes later James Poole beat the stand-in goalkeeper with an unstoppable shot from 25 yards.Fleming did well to push a 35-yard shot from Andy Monkhouse over, but was beaten three minutes into the second half when Poole headed in Evan Horwood's cross.Chesterfield responded three minutes later when Holden turned in a deflected shot and although Clarke netted in stoppage time, the flag had already gone up for offside.Chesterfield 2-3 Hartlepool: Match Report - view commentary, squad, and statictics of the game as it happened.
