Clarets boss bemoans injuries

urnley manager Eddie Howe believes the Clarets' poor form can be attributed to an injury crisis at Turf Moor. The Clarets have won just two of their last seven Championship matches and they had just 16 senior players available for the 2-0 defeat at Barnsley on Tuesday.Howe told BBC Radio Lancashire: "We're desperate to get players back."When you lose players like Danny Ings, Martin Paterson and Michael Duff it does hurt you with a small squad."Danny and Martin are the same it's a big blow to lose those two and Michael's full of experience, a communicator and organiser so we miss him too."
