Warnock bears no Rovers malice

QPR boss Neil Warnock insists he has nothing against Blackburn - just El-Hadji Diouf - after the Jamie Mackie leg break last term. Then-Rovers striker Diouf was blasted by Warnock for his reaction to Mackie's injury during the clubs' FA Cup clash at Ewood Park in January.Warnock claimed Diouf , who is now a free agent after being released by Rovers, taunted Mackie as he lay injured, prompting the QPR boss to launch his infamous 'sewer rat' verbal attack. While he still can not bring himself to say the striker's name, he insists there is no bad blood with Blackburn, who the Hoops meet at Loftus Road on Saturday.Warnock told the Daily Star: "(Blackburn boss) Steve (Keen) after the game was super and as I said to him, 'I don't think he'll be long at your club'. And he wasn't long at their club."I don't take anything back about what I said but Blackburn is a very good club. It's a difficult situation with Jamie Mackie but things like that do happen and I don't think there was anything on the day with both sets of players."But there was a situation with the one particular, I don't even want to say his name."Mackie is nearing a return to the starting line-up after coming on as a substitute in the 6-0 defeat at Fulham last time.He added: "He's absolutely flying and he'd tell you he's available now."We need to be patient with him. It's tempting to throw him in because he works so hard but his time will come."
