Double awards joy for Gers

Rangers manager Ally McCoist and midfielder Steven Davis are the SPL Manager and Player of the Month respectively for September. McCoist has picked up his first monthly gong after replacing Walter Smith in the Ibrox hotseat in the summer.Davis was named player of the month as the Scottish champions enjoyed double success in the September awards.McCoist guided his side to an impressive 4-2 win over rivals Celtic as well as gaining victories against Dundee United, Dunfermline and Kilmarnock.
