Durrant not getting carried away

Rangers first-team coach Ian Durrant insists the champions are taking nothing for granted in the Scottish Premier League title race. The Gers are aiming to notch up a 10th successive league win this weekend.Ally McCoist's side sit 10 points clear of Old Firm rivals Celtic and nine ahead of second-placed Motherwell following an impressive run of results. But Durrant is well aware of just how quickly fortunes can be transformed in football as Rangers prepare to host St Mirren on Saturday. The 44-year-old said: "Week to week it can change. We are under no illusions. Anything can happen in football."What we did two weeks ago counts for nothing. We just have to go game by game."The application of the boys up until now has been second to none."The way they have applied themselves and gone about their business has been great."We know we will have a tough game against St Mirren. Danny Lennon has got them going well and they are playing attractive football."We are looking forward to it and getting going again."Durrant confirmed Rangers have no fresh injury concerns following the international break, with a number of players on duty with their national teams. He said: "Everybody is fit and healthy. Some played more than others, which was a good thing."Having 16 players away, including the young boys with the under-21s, you always have your fingers crossed that they come back with a clean bill of health."Meanwhile, on-loan Arsenal defender Kyle Bartley is continuing to edge closer to a return to action as he recovers from a hernia operation.Durrant said: "I think Kyle will join in next week. It depends how he gets on between now and the weekend."It's been almost five weeks post-operation and it's usually seven weeks before they are back playing so I'm sure he will be a lot more involved next week."
