Gueye patient for place

David Moyes' 'secret weapon' Magaye Gueye knows he must be patient if he is to claim a first-team place in the Everton squad. The midfielder has been plagued with injury since arriving from Strasbourg in July 2010, subsequently missing the start of this Premier League campaign. The French Under 21s international completed just eight games for the Toffees last season, scoring his first goal in a pre-season match against Brisbane Roar in July 2010. Having made the bench against Aston Villa, Gueye is determined to repay the fans passionate support as he looks to demonstrate his potential to the Goodison Park faithful. "It was great to be back on the bench for the Villa game and I might have to be patient and be on the bench for a few weeks as I try and win a place in the team," he told the club's official website."I am waiting for my chance, I am working hard every single day and trying to impress the boss and making sure I am ready for when he needs me.""It would be great to get on a and play at Goodison again."I have not played very much yet - only a few games - but the supporters have been really good to me."I like their passion and I want to go out and do well for them."
