The player travelled to Ewood Park on Wednesday as Redknapp took his side to Doncaster where they thumped the Championship side 5-1 in the Carling Cup second round.Redknapp named just six of a possible seven substitutes as Chimbonda left the squad on the way to the Keepmoat Stadium to finalise a £2million switch when he was originally expected to take his place on the bench."Well I sold one (a player) on the way up here, we sold Chimbonda," Redknapp told Sky Sports News. "Well I think he was sold, he came up on the plane then he travelled across to Blackburn I think."The chairman agreed a fee with Blackburn for him so he travelled over there. I don't know if the deal has been done but certainly it's very close to being done so we ended up one short but it's not a problem."
