Stack avoids SFA ban

Hibernian goalkeeper Graham Stack will not be punished for a clash with Rangers striker Kyle Lafferty, the Scottish FA have announced. The SFA's compliance officer studied footage of the off-the-ball incident, which took place during Hibs' 1-0 defeat at Ibrox on Saturday.Television pictures showed Stack appeared to hit out at Lafferty with an arm but no action will be taken.An SFA statement read: "Following a review of an incident involving Graham Stack during Hibernian's Clydesdale Bank Premier League match against Rangers, fast track proceedings against the goalkeeper will not be initiated."Hibs striker Garry O'Connor faces a tribunal on Thursday after the club refused the offer of a two-match ban for alleged simulation after he won his side a penalty during last week's 3-2 victory over St Johnstone.Rangers striker Steven Naismith last week became the first player to receive retrospective punishment under the SFA's new system, accepting a two-match suspension for elbowing Dunfermline's Austin McCann.
