A Look At The Weekend Action

Andy Gray joins the 100 club with brace to hand Reds first home win of the season. In this match Gray notched the 100th and 101st goals of his career. It is the first time the striker has notched more than one in a game since March and is only the second time this season The Reds have scored more than once in a game. This, only Barnsley’s second win over Coventry in 14 meetings extends the club’s unbeaten run to seven matches- their longest unbeaten record in two years. Unfortunately though for the third successive match, The Reds were forced into a first half change through injury as Bobby Hassell went off with a groin strain. Ironically the team are at the same stage as they were this time last year- 12 points from 10 games, but with a –3 goal difference compared to 0 this term.
