Fulham boss Roy Hodgson has challenged Bjorn Helge Riise to continue to work hard and force his way into the side.
Riise, brother of Roma defender John Arne, signed a three-year contract with the Cottagers this summer after switching from Norwegian side Lillestrom for an undisclosed fee.
He has featured as a late substitute twice against FK Vetra in the Europa League so far but not in Fulham's three games since.
But Hodgson says the 26-year-old can expect to play many games for the club if he continues to work hard.
The Fulham boss told Canal + that the player has been impressing in training, saying: "Given his position on the pitch he might actually face the toughest competition in the club.
"It's not easy to break in to the starting XI, but I think he has had a great start here.
"His time will come and I am looking forward to see him play many games here.
"He must continue to do well in training and give me a headache when it comes to selecting the team."
