Rodwell delighted the Goodison Park crowd with two spectacular long-range efforts in the first leg of the Europa League qualifying tie.The Toffees went on to win 4-0 and have virtually assured themselves a place in the group stages of the new-look European competition.Moyes stated that he has never had any doubts over Rodwell's potential but admitted he was slightly surprised by the midfielder's goalscoring performance."Jack has great potential and we hope he will go on to fulfil it. We will bring him along in the right way," he said.Composed"He has a bit to go yet. We will use him in the games we see fit. Tonight he showed he is a very good player. He is excellent in a lot of European football and a lot of international football with his composure on the ball."He controlled parts of the game at different times. What I did not know was he was such a good shooter in scoring these goals."I know he strikes a lovely ball but I haven't really seen him rattle the back of the net like he did tonight."Both Rodwell and Louis Saha, who was also on target twice against Sigma Olomouc, were recalled to the side after being left out on Saturday against Arsenal.Moyes added: "I thought Louis did really well in pre-season. He was unlucky not to start on Saturday. You can see the quality he has got. He is an excellent player."The future of Joleon Lescott and a 6-1 opening-day hammering by the Gunners have dominated headlines at Goodison Park in recent days. But the response in midweek was emphatic, even if Moyes conceded his side needed a little luck to get started."It was a really good response from the players. I am really pleased with the result but we still have a difficult second leg to play," the 46-year-old said."We did not set off particularly well. I thought the opposition did very well. They will feel aggrieved they should have had a penalty in the first half. So we had a bit of good fortune."
