Redknapp hails Defoe brilliance

The England front-man led the way with three brilliant goals but was ably supported by strikes from Wilson Palacios and Robbie Keane.Redknapp paid tribute to his side's brilliant performance and rejected any suggestion that he looked on the fixture as an easy three points before the match."The way we played, the way we moved the ball, passed the ball, was top-draw," he told Sky Sports after the match."I saw them (Hull) on Saturday at Chelsea (and) I thought they were terrific. They worked Chelsea all the way and got beaten in the last minute, so it's not an easy place to come.Difficult"They always give you a difficult game, in my opinion, but tonight we were very difficult to live with."Defoe gave Spurs the lead with a clinical finish into the bottom corner, before producing two powerful efforts that flew past Hull goalkeeper Boaz Myhill and into the roof of the net.The Spurs boss said that the performance was the result of some hard work in the gym combined with an incredible natural talent."Well he's just looked unplayable, he's been like that in every game," Redknapp added."He just looks so sharp, he's looked stronger than he has in the past. I've known him since he was 14-15 and this is the strongest I've seen him look."He's done a lot of work at the end of last season and pre-season and he looks powerful, he's holding the ball better when it gets played up to his feet."You can't knock him off the ball, he looks quicker and he's just got what he's always had; that ability to finish, he's just a marvellous finisher and at the moment he looks, without a doubt, in my opinion as good as any striker around, he's absolutely on fire."
