Shotton could be here this week

The latest suggestions surrounding Stoke City's Ryan Shotton are that he could be a Burnley player by this weekend and available for our home game against Cardiff City. Shotton has been on Eddie Howe's shopping list for some time but he's recently been involved with the Stoke first team and came on as a substitute on Sunday in their Premier League opener against Chelsea, this after scoring, again after coming on as a sub, in their Europa League tie against Hadjuk Split. HIs involvement with the first team, and interest from Ipswich, has delayed things but a delay is all it seems to be. This morning's reports suggest Burnley might have to wait until the end of the week, with Stoke playing FC Thun this Thursday,. Tony Pulis is ready to sell the Potteries born defender with the player apparently keen to make the move to Turf Moor. Burnley want to make it a permanent deal but it could initially be a loan with an expected permanent deal to follow.
