Nani joy at 'best game ever'

Manchester United winger Nani believes his man-of-the-match performance in Sunday's Community Shield win over City was his best ever. The Portugal international capped off a fine team move to make it 2-2 in the 58th minute before racing clear to claim a stoppage-time winner. That went some way to avenging United's FA Cup semi-final defeat by City last season, although the Red Devils' derby rivals are hoping to challenge for the Premier League title this season. But speaking after he came off the bench in his country's 5-0 win over Luxembourg on Wednesday, Nani explained he is eager to help steer United to a successful title defence."I think [the Community Shield] was fantastic because it is always a big derby," he told RTPN. "We were losing 2-0 but we came back to get the result."We played an excellent game and I scored two goals. I'll always remember that second half."I came out of there very happy and I think that was my best game ever because it was a final and because it gave us a trophy."I am working to be the best Nani for the team this season and Sir Alex Ferguson congratulated me after the match."I always give my best, I'm fine and I want to stay that way until the end of the season."Nani has been linked with a move to Italy all summer, with the likes of Inter Milan and Juventus reported to be interested. But the 24-year-old insists he is not looking to leave Old Trafford, saying the fact he is settled at United is enabling him to fulfil his potential."I am very well there," he said. "I think it's the best club in the world and want to stay there and work well."It's good to know that big clubs are interested in me but, right now, I'm very satisfied with my club and I want to continue with them."
