Ancelotti sees Blues improve

The Blues were forced to rely on a late and fortunate Didier Drogba winner against Hull City on Saturday but were firing on all cylinders against the Black Cats as they cruised to a 3-1 success in the North East.Despite going behind to Darren Bent's first-half opener against the run of play, the visitors did not panic and forged ahead after the interval.Michael Ballack levelled in the 52nd minute, Frank Lampard drilled home from the penalty spot after Drogba had been felled before Deco applied the final flourish with a sublime strike 20 minutes from time.New Chelsea boss Ancelotti paid tribute to the way his players responded to going a goal down and was delighted with their display.The Italian told Sky Sports: "I am satisfied because we played very well from the first minute to the last minute. "It was not easy in the first half because Sunderland scored, but we maintained control of the game and had a good mental attitude. We won and it was a fantastic match for us."We are happy because I am seeing the team improve very quickly."Good atmosphereAncelotti made four changes to his starting XI from Saturday, with Deco, Branislav Ivanovic, Salomon Kalou and Ballack all coming in.Portugal international Deco, who faded badly after a bright start last term and was tipped to leave this summer, earned special praise from his manager after a display packed with creativity.Ancelotti admitted he is likely to rotate his side throughout the season given the busy schedule the Blues will face and the number of gifted players at his disposal.He said: "We changed it because we have a lot of games and it is important to use all the players because we have a very good squad with fantastic players."I want to use them to maintain a good atmosphere in the squad. Now we can change it for our next game."I am very happy for Deco because of his problems last season. Now he is in good condition and has a lot of quality on the field. "He takes up good positions on the field and if the team play well for you, you play well for the team."
