Ewood life exciting - Goodwillie

ew Blackburn signing David Goodwillie believes exciting times lie ahead at Ewood Park. The 22-year-old, who won the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award last season, completed his move from Dundee United earlier this week in a deal believed to be in the region £2million.The highly-rated youngster was also the subject of intense interest from Rangers but the SPL club could not agree a fee with United, leaving Rovers in the clear to complete the signing of the striker on a four-year deal.Goodwillie believes the future is bright not just on a personal level but also for his new club under Indian owners Venky's."I think this could be a really good season for Blackburn," Goodwillie told the club's official website."The new owners are exciting and they want players and I'm looking forward to playing under them."I think it's a massive stage to further my career and there's no better place to play than the Premier League."Goodwillie accepts though that it may take time for him to adjust to the rigors of Premier League football."I think [for] the first few games it will be difficult for me to settle, it's probably a better standard [than the SPL]," he added."I'm just looking forward to the challenge. It's exciting, it's really exciting."
