Well fears for Gunning deal

Motherwell fear that they will miss out on bringing Blackburn's Gavin Gunning back to the club on loan. The 20-year-old Irishman finished last season on loan at Fir Park from Blackburn, making 11 appearances in the process.Gunning is entering the final year of his Rovers deal and Motherwell believe his agent wants him to remain in England. However, the club will still be tabling their 'best' offer and they still hope to make at least one more signing before the window closes."We've been talking to Gavin but we really need some feedback from Blackburn as it seems to have gone a bit quiet," said Well number two Kenny Black."He's in the last year of his contract and it doesn't look like he will be figuring in the first team."But it seems his agent wants him to stay in England and two or three clubs are interested."All we can do is put in our best offer and see what happens."We're still looking to bring in at least one player. If I'm being honest we'd probably want more than that as we have a small squad."
