Yohan Cabaye becomes third Newcastle player to be denied visa for US tour

Newcastle's pre-season tour of America has been hit with yet another problem after new signing Yohan Cabaye became the third player to denied a visa.Midfielder Joey Barton and young striker Nile Ranger both failed to get visas for the tour for their previous criminal convictions.Cabaye's failure to get a visa to travel Stateside is believed to be because of a minor technical problem. No go: Cabaye has been denied a visa to the USA due to an administration errorAnd the midfielder will now join Barton, Ranger and the reserves of their pre-season tour of Holland. The departure of skipper Kevin Nolan to West Ham and Barton and Cabaye's absence from the tour of America will leave Alan Pardew with a problem in the centre of midfield, but the manager is relaxed about the situation.Pardew - who does have new signings Demba Ba and Sylvain Marveaux with him in America - told the Newcastle Chronicle: 'Yohan will add something to us - he'll add a pass and an intelligence to our game, for sure.He said: 'The players have already seen that all three are good players.'It's no good doing it just on the training ground. Your top players like Fabricio Coloccini and Joey Barton know fine well it is about the Premier League. Heading to Holland: Barton will go on the reserves pre-season tour'You want to see these players performing in the Premier League at their very best, hopefully we see that from Yohan and the new boys this year.'You want to see what they're going to do for us, and only time will tell.'But at the moment they're showing very well.'Barton had been refused entry to the United States last week because of his previous conviction three years ago for assault. The former Manchester City midfielder was sentenced to six months in prison for the offence, which occurred outside a McDonald's restaurant in Liverpool, but since his release he has steered clear of trouble and drink. Barred: Nile Ranger (left) can't travel to the States but new signing Demba Ba (right) will be thereOn his Twitter feed Barton remarked: 'It is total hypocrisy considering what they get up to but rules are rules. They told me I am not allowed in until I have five years without any trouble. Three years down, two years to go.'Meanwhile Ranger was turned down for his part in an armed robbery four years ago which earned him 11 weeks in a young offenders' institute.  All the latest Newcastle news, features and opinionBarton barred from Newcastle's US tour. and now Ranger is denied visa too Peacemaker Barton calms Newcastle louts as violence mars pre-season friendlyNewcastle captain Coloccini admits he needs more English lessons to be a leader
