Witsel opts for Benfica switch

enfica have completed the signing of Axeil Witsel from Standard Liege after the Belgian star snubbed the chance to join Blackburn. Witsel, who was also being tracked by the likes of Blackburn, Roma and AC Milan, completed his move to the Estadio da Luza on Wednesday.The 22-year-old has penned a five-year deal with the Portuguese giants.Witsel is expected to be soon followed out of Liege by midfield colleague Steven Defour - who is in talks with Lokomotiv Moscow.
