QPR sign Kieron Dyer

Fresh start: Dyer will look to put his West Ham nightmare behind himQPR have completed the signing of former England international Kieron Dyer. The 32-year-old has been beset by injuries in recent years and was released by relegated West Ham at the end of last season. However, Dyer has been given another chance to shine in the Premier League by Rangers in a one-year deal.'I'm just delighted to be here,' he told www.qpr.co.uk.'QPR are an ambitious Club and when I sat down with Neil and he explained the vision for the Club - specifically the hunger and the determination of the squad - I just wanted to be part of it. He totally sold the Club to me.'Dyer added: 'I've got something to prove after the couple of years I've had, but I feel good and I'm really looking forward to playing my part next season.'Dyer agreed a one-year deal to a move to west London and Warnock believes it is a deal that will suit both parties.'When a player of Kieron's ability becomes available, you'd be crazy not to be interested.'As far as I'm concerned it's a gamble worth taking. He really impressed me in training and it looks like he has been working hard on his fitness throughout the summer.'I instantly liked him when we met. You get feelings like that as a Manager.'He's had a lot of problems, but he's got something to prove. He's a hell of a good player and I still think he's got an opportunity to impress with us. Done deal: Dyer poses with Neil Warnock at the club's training ground'He has a lot of experience and is desperate to play in the Premier League again. I like the hunger he's got and he wants to prove a point.'QPR confirmed the signature of Jay Bothroyd on a three-year deal earlier today and are believed to be in talks with Blackpool striker DJ Campbell.Warnock is also hopeful on tying up a deal for promising Tottenham right-back Kyle Naughton, whose development he witnessed while at Sheffield United. 'We have a great relationship with Spurs and we tried to sign Kyle in January before he went to Leicester,' added Warnock.'We can give him Premier League experience and help him develop in the same way Kyle Walker benefited from being on loan from Spurs at at Aston Villa.' CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR FREE FANTASY FOOTBALL GAMEQPR make England international Bothroyd their first signing of the summerQPR ponder pay-as-you play deal for perennial sicknote Dyer as Bothroyd joins Loftus RoadAll the latest QPR news, features and opinion
