Hearts beaten in Berlin
Jim Jefferies' Hearts side crashed to their first pre-season defeat 3-0 at the hands of an impressive Union Berlin. Two goals from Brazilian striker Silva either side of half-time did the damage with Simon Terodde also getting on the score-sheet for the German side at the Stadion An Der Alten Forsterie.Gordon Smith missed a golden chance for a consolation towards the end of the second half, as he blazed over the re-bound from Mehdi Taouil's shot which deflected off the post.
