Youngster commits to Clarets

Promising Burnley striker Wes Fletcher has signed a new two-year deal at the club after being prolific for the youth team since 2007. The promising 20-year-old has been a regular scorer at youth level since joining the Clarets in 2007.He made his senior debut in the Carling Cup against Morecambe last season before undertaking a loan spell at Stockport, where he made nine appearances and scored one goal."We rate Wes very highly. We think he has a lot of ability," manager Eddie Howe told the club's official website. "He probably needs to go and play, whether that be a loan spell or be with us."I think he needs to get some professional games under his belt but he's got something. He's got pace, he's a good finisher and he scores goals."We have high hopes for him and it's on his shoulders now to see how far he can develop."
