The news comes just days after the Bundesliga club successfully kicked off their campaign with a 2-1 win over newly-promoted FC Nurnberg.Mineiro, a former Chelsea recruit, has put pen-to-paper on a one-year deal after impressing at a recent trial at the Veltins Arena.Whilst 22-year-old Hanzel will join the club on an initial one-year loan with a view to a permanent move, Hanzel is expected to fill the gap left by injury-prone Christian Pander who has suffered yet another setback and is expected to be out of action for some time.ValuableSchalke boss Felix Magath admitted his delight in the signings, in particular that of 34-year-old Mineiro."Mineiro has been capped multiple times by Brazil, he has grown older lately but is more than capable of leading a team," he told the club's official website.Magath went on to shrug-off Manchester United's reported interest in goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, saying: "There is nothing concrete."Neuer will see out the current season at Schalke for sure, he does not even want to move on."
