Mixed news for Roma over duo

Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini insists the club will not part ways with Daniele De Rossi - but admit Mirko Vucinic has asked to leave. De Rossi's contract negotiations have stalled following Roma's failure to qualify for next season's Champions League. The midfielder has been linked with a move to Manchester United.De Rossi, who has been with his beloved Roma his entire career, is yet to put pen to paper on an extension proposal but Sabatini is confident the matter will be resolved."We won't weaken the team by selling De Rossi," Sabatini told Sky Sports Italia. "He told me he wants to stay and we'll find an agreement."Meanwhile, Blackburn target Vucinic's future looks to be away from the Stadio Olympico, despite the club wishing to hold on to his services. The Montenegro international fell out of favour at the club last season and, despite Luis Enrique taking charge of first-team affairs, the 27-year-old is seeking a move.Sabatini added: "Vucinic has asked me to be transferred, but the club would like to keep him."Roma are expected to tie up the signing of Sporting Gijon left-back Jose Angel next week, with the 21-year-old set to snub Barcelona for the opportunity to work with compatriot Enrique. The Italians are also hoping to add Ajax goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg to their ranks as a replacement for Artur, who last month joined Benfica.Sabatini said: "We are close to the objective that we set. We'll close on Monday for Jose Angel. In the next week we will try again for Stekelenburg."
