Cherries: Keeper Flahavan signs

Cherries have today completed the signing of goalkeeper Darryl Flahavan on a one-year contract. The 32-year-old stopper joins the Dean Court club on a free transfer from south coast neighbours Portsmouth. Flahavan worked with Cherries goalkeeping coach Neil Moss at Southampton and played with boss Lee Bradbury at Southend United. He is expected to provide competition for the number one jersey alongside Shwan Jalal, who revealed in today's Echo that talks over his new contract had hit the buffers. More on this story in tomorrow's Echo.
