Sorensen wants more action

Goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen has indicated that his Stoke City future could depend on assurances over first-team opportunities. The Denmark international, who has been linked with a move to West Ham, asked for contract negotiations with the Britannia Stadium hierarchy earlier in June. But in the second half of last season Sorensen was restricted to playing in the FA Cup for runners-up Stoke and appeared just once in the Premier League after the end of October.Asmir Begovic was manager Tony Pulis' first choice and Sorensen is concerned that he may again have to settle for a place on the bench in the next campaign. The 35-year-old is quoted as saying in The Sun: "I find it of the utmost importance to get more minutes of playing time next season."
