Huth targets pre-season return

Stoke defender Robert Huth says his recovery from a knee injury is going well and he should start pre-season with the rest of the squad. Huth has been recovering from a troublesome knee injury over the summer after suffering the problem towards the end of last season. The injury forced the Germany international to miss the last two Premier League matches of the season after he featured in the FA Cup final despite carrying the problem. However, Huth has worked hard on his rehab since the end of last season and has been doing plenty of work in the gym at the club's training ground.Huth told the club's official website: "It is certainly looking good at the moment. I have been doing loads of running and gym work at the training ground and hopefully it will put me in a position where I am ready to get underway straight away."There are still a couple of weeks left until pre-season starts so I will keep doing my work, because it is hugely important not to be playing catch up with them once pre-season gets underway."
