Cerny pens new Rangers deal

QPR goalkeeper Radek Cerny has agreed a one-year extension to stay with the Barclays Premier League newcomers. The former Czech Republic international has been a bit-part player in recent times at Loftus Road due to Paddy Kenny's form. Cerny made two appearances as back-up to Kenny last year and QPR manager Neil Warnock believes he deserves the new deal. "Radek is a great pro and a very good keeper," he told club website www.qpr.co.uk. "He deserves this new deal. "Raddy and Paddy, along with David Rouse (goalkeeping coach) are a great team and the fact we did so well defensively last season is credit to the three of them who work so well together."
