Hibernian clinch O'Hanlon deal

Hibernian have completed the signing of Sean O'Hanlon on a two-year contract following the defender's recent departure from MK Dons. O'Hanlon was released by Dons boss Karl Robinson last month after the club's League One play-off defeat at the hands of Peterborough United. The 28-year-old has now secured a move to the SPL and he is looking forward to the opportunity of playing for Hibs."I'm really pleased to be joining Hibernian and I'm looking forward to the challenge of trying to win some silverware," O'Hanlon told Hibernian TV."Basically I want to help Hibernian challenge for cups, get into Europe and to compete well in the League."Colin Calderwood says he has been chasing me for a few years, so it is great to be able to sign for a manager that has shown such a lot of interest in me."I'm very fortunate this opportunity came about; Hibernian are one of the biggest clubs in Scotland and it is a fantastic set-up."Hibs boss Calderwood added: "Sean is an experienced player and a great professional with leadership qualities - I'm really pleased to have him on board for next season."He is another experienced voice in the dressing room and a good organiser on the pitch. He certainly complements what we already have in the squad and is an important addition."
