Spurs take on Toffees first

Tottenham get their 2011/12 Premier League campaign under way with a home fixture against Everton on the opening weekend. They follow their opener with a trip to Premier League champions Manchester United before hosting Manchester City at the end of the month.Harry Redknapp's men then tackle Liverpool at White Hart Lane on September 17 while their first league north London derby of the season against Arsenal is at home on October 1.Spurs' festive period includes a home encounter against Chelsea followed by games against newly-promoted duo Norwich and Swansea.Tottenham travel to meet Manchester City on January 21 and are again in the North West for a meeting with Liverpool on February 4.Their second meeting with bitter rivals Arsenal is on February 25, this time at the Emirates Stadium.March sees Redknapp's team welcome the Red Devils to White Hart Lane while they make the short journey to Chelsea in the same month.Tottenham's May run-in sees the club head to Villa Park before they round off the campaign against Fulham on May 13.Redknapp recognises that Spurs could not have been handed a much harder start but is still determined to get off to a flyer. "That's one of the toughest starts I've had in all my years as a manager," he said on the club's official website."Everton are a strong side and always difficult to beat, United at Old Trafford is as tough as it gets and then City at home makes for a difficult start."But they are all great games to look forward to, big home games especially in front of a packed White Hart Lane. They are all exciting games."It would be great to get off to a good start and we're all looking forward to it."
