Pompey job suits me - Cotterill
Portsmouth manager Steve Cotterill has underlined his commitment to the south-coast club amid speculation he is wanted by Birmingham. The Pompey boss insists he is happy at Fratton Park despite being heavily linked with a move to the midlands in the wake of Alex McLeish's shock resignation on Sunday.Cotterill told The News: "I was surprised to hear the talk about me. I don't know if I'm potentially one of their candidates."It's flattering when something like that happens, but I'm happy doing the job I'm doing at Portsmouth."I've been through all the hard work here last season. I've been through all that pain, but I'm happy as manager of Portsmouth."It's been a tough job but I've been through all the tough times here now and want to push on."Birmingham are understood to have lined up six possible candidates to replace McLeish, with former Newcastle manager Chris Hughton the current bookmakers' favourite ahead of ex-West Ham boss Gianfranco Zola and former West Brom head coach Roberto Di Matteo.
