Defoe double earns Dutch point

England striker Jermain Defoe earned Fabio Capello's men a 2-2 draw against Holland after an error-strewn first half saw them two goals behind at the break. Rio Ferdinand's backpass allowed Dirk Kuyt to open the scoring in the friendly, then Rafael van der Vaart took advantage of a loose pass from Gareth Barry to double the Dutch lead at the Amsterdam ArenA. Defoe came off the bench and scored twice, highlighting the effect of Capello's half-time team talks that skipper John Terry spoke about on the eve of the clash.
