Lennon wants Izaguirre back

The medical team at Parkhead want to see just how bad the problem Emilio Izaguirre has suffered is Emilio Izaguirre has been asked to head back to Glasgow for assessment on the hamstring injury which has prevented him participating in the CONCACAF Gold Cup with Honduras. Izaguirre is now certain to miss the club's pre-season tour of the USA and manager Neil Lennon is worried if he will be available for their season-opener on 23 July. Izaguirre is more than disappointed to miss playing in the Gold Cup for Honduras. He said: "I was told by Celtic they want me back to continue my therapy. I can confirm I will return in a week or two. It's very painful for me right now. I know I will receive a lot of criticism from people in Honduras who are asking why I can play the whole season for Celtic and not play now for Honduras. But only God himself knows why things like this happen. And only I know how I feel about playing for my country."
