Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson rates Eric Cantona and Wigan haggis

The Glaswegian also admits that he retains his link to his native Scotland by searching out his national delicacies of haggis, potato scones and lorne sausage. Ferguson said: "I can get most things down here now. I get haggis from a butcher in Wigan and I buy potato scones from Marks & Spencer. "The one thing you can't get down here is a square or 'lorne' sausage. It's exactly what it sounds like – a sausage in the shape of a square. "It's a peculiar Glaswegian delicacy!" Ferguson, who has previously listed The Godfather and the John Wayne classic The Searchers as his favourite films, admits that he is a big fan of Cantona's latest film, Looking for Eric. He said: "I saw it with the staff here (at United) and thought it was marvellous. Absolutely brilliant. "Like all Ken Loach films, it had a social message which was very strong and I thought Eric was terrific in it. "I spoke to him a couple of weeks ago actually and he said he really enjoyed doing the film and working with Ken. "I think it should win awards."
