City Longest Serving Championship Team

Championship Round Up Coventry City have taken over the mantle as the longest serving team in the Championship after Preston North End were relegated this afternoon following a 1-0 home defeat by Cardiff City. Coventry City dropped down to 17th place in the Championship table after the 2-1 defeat at Middlesbrough who moved up to 15th. QPR need a point to get promoted after a 1-1 home draw against Hull City, whilst Norwich City beat Derby County 3-2 to stay second. Fourth placed Swansea beat Ipswich 4-1 with former Sky Blue Colin Healy scoring for Ipswich. Fifth placed Reading lost 3-2 at home to Sheffield United who moved to third from bottom thanks to Scunthorpe losing 2-1 at home to Millwall who have moved up to seventh. Nottingham Forest's 3-2 win at Bristol City lifted them back into the top six. Former City loanee Jon Stead scored for The Robins. Crystal Palace moved off the fourth from bottom spot with a 1-0 win over Leeds United and go ahead of Doncaster Rovers who drew 2-2 at Barnsley. Leicester ended Watford's Play-Off hopes with a 4-2 win and Coventry born Graham Alexander played his 1001st game in the 1-1 draw for Burnley against Portsmouth.
