Arsenal defender Kolo Toure in talks with Manchester City

ARSENAL are set to launch a bid for Fulham defender Brede Hangeland as they look to replace Kolo Toure.Toure is in talks with Manchester City, who appear to have accepted defeat in their efforts to sign Chelsea's John Terry. And the Ivory Coast star?s £15m departure to Eastlands will trigger a big-money move for Hangeland, who has been admired by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger for some time. The Norway captain has proved a huge hit at Craven Cottage since his £2.5m signing from FC Copenhagen in January 2008. Fulham boss Roy Hodgson recently admitted the 28-year-old was "mulling over" the offer of a new contract. But he knows he has a fight on his hands to keep the centre-half if Arsenal make a huge bid. Toure?s switch to City is set to follow hot on the heels of Emmanuel Adebayor's £25m move to Manchester nine days ago.And the Togo striker admits he is keen to be quickly reacquainted with his old colleague, who was signed by Wenger for a bargain £150,000 in 2002.Adebayor said: "We all know how good Kolo Toure is and I think the club need one more good defender like him. "He has been playing in the Premier League for seven years and if we managed to get him he can do a good job. We all hope that it comes soon."While the Toure deal would represent good business by Arsenal, the club?s fans will be concerned by the idea of selling two key players to a club like City, who will be trying to finish above the Gunners in the race for a Champions League place next year. Are you a worried Arsenal fan?
