Cherries: Bradbury calling for fans' support

MANAGER Lee Bradbury saw the play-offs pendulum swing back in Cherries' favour and then urged the club's followers: Push us over the finishing line. The Dean Court outfit and their supporters look set for a tense end to the season as Cherries battle for back-to-back promotions. Bradbury's side moved back into the League One top six with a 2-0 victory over Notts County and lead nearest rivals Rochdale by two points, with the added benefit of a superior goal difference. Cherries travel to Yeovil Town on Saturday and they are expected to have the backing of more than 2,000 travelling fans at Huish Park. With just four games of the season remaining and a possible play-off campaign to look forward to boss Bradbury is calling on Cherries supporters to boost his team's hopes. He believes now is the time for positivity and a final push to help his side claim a coveted place in next season's Championship. Bradbury told the Echo: It is really important that everyone involved at the club is positive towards the end of the season and that the crowd get right behind us, like they did at Notts County. They showed up in numbers and I know they are turning up at Yeovil as well. They don't realise how influential they can be for the team for the final push. It is a really big time for us and that is why I want to get the fans right behind us to push us over the finishing line. I want the fans to enjoy themselves. Hopefully, we can put on good displays for them and they can get right behind us and make it difficult for other teams, especially at home. We're working very hard, and have done all season, to make sure we win as many games as possible. We're at the stage of the season where the fans can have a massive impact. If they get behind the lads, if they are tired, they can give them that extra five per cent. As a team, that extra five per cent could be the difference. The match at Yeovil is followed by a home clash against Bristol Rovers on Monday. Cherries then visit Hartlepool before a potentially crucial Dean Court showdown with Rochdale. Bradbury added: I'd like to see full houses for the last couple of home games. I think it would be a really big bonus for the players and give them a little glimpse of what, maybe, lies ahead.
