Cherries: Howe crucial in Pitman deal

BRETT Pitman has identified Cherries young management duo as key to his decision to sign a long-term deal with the club. The talented forward celebrated his new three-year contract by playing a vital role as Cherries secured a stunning 3-0 opening-day victory at Bury. He produced a moment of magic to put Cherries in front before turning provider as the visitors put the game to bed prior to the interval at Gigg Lane. And Pitman, who sealed the contract on the eve of the new campaign, makes no secret of why he chose to commit his future to the Dean Court outfit. I was pleased to get it done, the homegrown frontman told the Echo. Eddie (Howe) and Jason (Tindall) have been a massive, massive factor in me signing. Were trying to build for the future and, hopefully, thats the start of it. Im in the side to score goals but, if I work hard for the team and the goals come, thats a bonus, he added. Im looking to put the work in and, the more goals I score, the more points we should accumulate, so it goes hand in hand.
