Three changes for Sunderland at St Andrew's

STEVE Bruce has made three changes to Sunderland's starting line-up for today's Premier League away game at Birmingham. Jordan Henderson, Jack Colback and Stephane Sessegnon all come into the Black Cats' midfield, as Bruce's side attempt to end an eight-game winless run. The trio replace John Mensah, Kieran Richardson and Steed Malbranque, with Richardson having failed a late fitness test in the Midlands. Ahmed Elmohamady will line up at right-back, with Nedum Onuoha moving across to partner Michael Turner at centre-half. There is a surprise substitute spot for David Meyler, who has recovered from the knee injury he sustained at Aston Villa. BIRMINGHAM (4-4-2): Foster; Parnaby, Johnson, Ridgewell, Carr; Larsson, Ferguson, Bowyer, Gardner; Phillips, Jerome. Subs: Doyle (gk), Davies, Mutch, Fahey, Hleb, Bentley, Derbyshire. SUNDERLAND (4-4-2): Mignolet; Elmohamady, Turner, Onuoha, Bardsley; Henderson, Colback, Cattermole, Sessegnon; Welbeck, Gyan. Subs: Gordon (gk), Zenden, Malbranque, Riveros, Meyler, Noble, Lynch.
