Macclesfield boss Gary Simpson could be boosted by the return of midfield duo Paul Bolland and Matt Hamshaw for the trip to Chesterfield.
Bolland has been sidelined with a hamstring injury and Hamshaw has been troubled by a muscle strain.
They missed last weekend`s match against Accrington but physio Nick Reid said: "Both players came through a reserve match this week with no ill effects and have been in training since."
Striker Emile Sinclair is nursing a tight hamstring and will be assessed but skipper Paul Morgan is out for the season with a broken arm.
Simpson has no other injury or suspension concerns and the versatile Dan Gray is eligible to play despite being on loan from Chesterfield.
