Clark hails young guns

Huddersfield boss Lee Clark has praised the impact his young players have had on the club`s League One promotion push. On-loan Arsenal striker Benik Afobe, 20, left-back Liam Ridehalgh, 19, and right-back Jack Hunt, 20, have played a big part in the Terriers season, while midfielder Chris Atkinson, 19, and winger Aidan Chippendale, 18, have also featured. "I'm more than happy with all the young lads who have come through," Clark told the Daily Examiner. "I've gone on record over the impact young Benik has had, but our homegrown products shouldn't be overlooked either. "At the start of the season, we didn't expect them to figure anything like as much, but injuries to the more experienced lads, Gary Naysmith in particular, have provided opportunities. "Liam came in and took his impressively while Jack worked very hard during his loan stint at Chesterfield to make sure he came back ready to push for a place here. "Chris Atkinson and Aidan Chippendale haven't figured as often, but they've benefited from being part of the group and haven't let us down when they have been called upon."
