Unbeaten Run Ends

Preston's three game winning streak came to an end with a defeat to high flying Reading in what was possibly their toughest of their fixtures in a hectic month. Phil Brown always knew that this game would be tough as Reading were flying high and are a very strong outfit at home. This was Preston's game in hand but they were unable to capitalise and remain 8 points adrift of safety. Jimmy Kebe put the Royals in front early in the first half but this was cancelled out early in the second half thanks to a Mccarthy own goal. The Whites were unable to hold on as Robson-Kanu scored with less than ten minutes left to send Preston to defeat. The Whites now have seven games left and realistically they have to pick up six wins from those games as well as hoping other sides slip up. It is now an almost impossible task but Phil Brown will not give up just yet.
