Stanley`s the man for Gulls

Torquay United's on-loan Morecambe midfielder Craig Stanley was the architect of the Gulls victory as they made it six unbeaten in League Two. Stanley slotted through a superb ball to set up second-half goals for both strikers, Chris Zebroski and Gavin Tomlin. Zebroski raced through to round City keeper Elliott Parish in the 74th minute and coolly slot home to put Torquay ahead. Impressive Stanley also set up fellow loanee Tomlin, signed from Dagenham, who superbly slotted United's second goal in the 84th minute. Zebroski could have doubled his tally in between both goals with a thumping 78th-minute strike that beat diving Parish but crashed off the inside of the post. However, the hosts did not have it all their own way and Ben Hutchinson was denied from point-blank range in the 70th minute when Gulls keeper Scott Bevan made a brilliant on-the-line save to deny the Imps striker. But United were not going to be denied and after Bevan's super stop they went on the front foot to secure their 10th home win of the season.
