Motherwell striker Francis Jeffers feels inner desire is the key to maintaining the high standards of their cup win over Dundee United as the Lanarkshire side face a pivotal few weeks in their season.
Motherwell swept aside the Scottish Cup holders 3-0 at Fir Park to secure a semi-final place. Jeffers added to earlier impressive strikes from Jamie Murphy and Chris Humphrey by finding the bottom corner from more than 20 yards following a neat piece of skill.
The display was arguably Motherwell's best under Stuart McCall, but there have been close contenders, notably victories over fellow semi-finalists Celtic and Aberdeen at Pittodrie.
And Jeffers sees no reason why Motherwell cannot go all the way - if they produce a similar display against St Johnstone at Hampden on April 16.
"You always want to get to semi-finals and finals of competitions," Jeffers said. "I went to two with Arsenal so that's another one now and hopefully we can go on and win it.
"We've got a chance, as have the other three teams. If we play like we did against United we are a match for anyone. We have to make sure we are on top of our game in the semi-final."
