Cherries: Jalal playing through the pain barrier

Cherries boss Lee Bradbury has revealed that Shwan Jalal is playing through the pain barrier. The influential former Peterborough goalkeeper has been one of Cherries' top performers this season, starting 35 of the club's 37 League One matches. But manager Bradbury confirmed the Dean Court number one had recently been hampered by a back problem. Despite the possibility of needing to visit a specialist about the injury, Bradbury is confident it will not prevent Jalal from continuing to feature during Cherries' push for promotion. Speaking after the 1-0 defeat at Carlisle on Saturday, Bradbury said: He is playing with a little bit of an injury to his back. He needs to see a specialist about it. He has got a nerve causing him a few problems. He is carrying it a little bit but it is nothing to stop him playing. Cherries' injury-hit squad is already missing a number of senior players, with defenders Ryan Garry, Rhoys Wiggins and Warren Cummings, midfielder Mark Molesley and strikers Michael Symes and Steve Lovell all sidelined for the match in Cumbria.
