Kamara Signing Boosts Foxes' Firepower

Leicester City have completed a loan move for Fulham striker Diomansy Kamara. Having seen his side's form drop rapidly in recent weeks and with their play-off challenge fading, City boss Sven Goran-Eriksson has moved for Senegalese forward Diomansy Kamara in a bid to get his side's season back on track. 30-year-old Kamara is surplus to requirements at Craven Cottage and the striker will be looking to embrace the opportunity to kick-start his career. Eriksson said of the signing: 'Diomansy is a quality striker and will be a great addition to our team. He brings with him pace, good technique and of course, Premier League quality. 'I am sure he will settle in well and be an exciting player for the club.' He added. The Foxes are desperate for results with just eight matches to go and, Kamara certainly has the experience needed to guide the Foxes on their way up the Championship table. The striker's most notable success at this level came in 2007 when his 23 goals helped West Bromwich Albion reach the Championship play-offs. Kamara - who has also played for Portsmouth during his time in England - will now join up with the Senegal national team ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Cameroon on Saturday.
