Saints, playing their first game in English football's' third tier for almost 50 years, were the better side for much of the game against last season's beaten League One play-off finalists but Pardew is remaining realistic."I'm pleased with the way we played but we are some way away from their level at the moment," he said. "We faltered a bit towards the end and while I was having to throw on young boys - who all did fantastically - you look at their bench and they had power and experience that we don't have."I thought that besides Morgan Schneiderlin, who was superb, we lacked a little bit of composure and we need to bring players to the club who have the experience to shut a game down."But it's proving difficult though that clubs think we are going to be throwing money around but that isn't the case, we need to be sensible."
