Swansea want Chelsea striker Fabio Borini on loan to power promotion push

Gaining experience: BoriniSwansea City's promotion bid is expected to receive a boost today with the loan signing of Chelsea's Fabio Borini. The Italy Under 21 striker has yet to figure for the Barclays Premier League champions this season but manager Carlo Ancelotti is keen for the 19-year-old to get more playing time. Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers, an ex-Chelsea reserve and youth coach, said: 'A fresh face coming in would give us a burst of enthusiasm, intensity and quality that would help.' Borini, who is out of contract this summer, has been at Stamford Bridge since 2007 but has only made eight first-team appearances. Juventus have stepped up their interest in Chelsea defenders Jose Bosingwa and Yuri Zhirkov. The Italians tried to sign right back Bosingwa, 28, two years ago and sent scouts to watch him against FC Copenhagen last night. AC Milan and Bayern Munich are also considering moves for him. Left back Zhirkov, 27, is out of contract at the end of next season.  Chelsea 0 FC Copenhagen 0 (agg 2-0): Blues keep the dream alive and book their place in another Champions League quarter-finalYossi Benayoun named in Israel squad as Chelsea midfielder makes comeback from achilles injuryAll the latest Chelsea news, features and opinion  Explore more:People: Jose Bosingwa, Brendan Rodgers, Yuri Zhirkov, Carlo Ancelotti
